Crysencio Summerville Transfer News: Man Utd Lead Race as PSG Interest Hinges on Barcola Exit

Crysencio Summerville Set to Leave West Ham as Transfer Interest Mounts

Crysencio Summerville looks increasingly likely to leave West Ham this summer, with multiple clubs now circling the Dutch winger following his standout performances for the Netherlands at the 2026 World Cup.

Manchester United Lead the Chase

Manchester United have made a formal enquiry for Summerville and placed him high on their shortlist following his eye-catching showing in the Netherlands’ opening World Cup game. United are reportedly prepared to pay around £50 million for the 24-year-old, with the club fully aware of West Ham’s asking price.

United are said to be in direct contact with Summerville’s camp, with talks on the player’s side described as going well. Reports note that Summerville remains under contract at West Ham beyond this summer, with United considering him as part of their attacking rebuild. The Red Devils are also weighing up a potential double deal, with West Ham teammate Mateus Fernandes also under consideration as part of United’s recruitment plans.

However, any formal pursuit of Summerville reportedly hinges on the situation surrounding Marcus Rashford, whose Barcelona purchase option has now expired. Should Rashford return to Manchester to see out his contract, a move for Summerville could be shelved.

Other Premier League Clubs Keen

United are not alone in the race. Roma and Aston Villa have also been credited with interest in the winger, giving West Ham several suitors to negotiate with as they look to maximise his value following relegation from the Premier League.

PSG Interest Tied to Barcola and Diomande Situation

Paris Saint-Germain have also entered the picture, though their pursuit is far less straightforward. PSG have made inquiries over Summerville, according to Fabrizio Romano, though there is some caution around the move given his underwhelming season with West Ham — caution the World Cup could help ease.

PSG’s interest in both Summerville and RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande stems from the possibility of departures in their forward line, the most competitive area of the squad, with players such as Bradley Barcola among the potential exits. Crucially, PSG are expected to act on either target only if one of their current attackers leaves the club first.

That makes Barcola’s situation central to PSG’s plans. There is reportedly “no room” for Diomande at PSG unless Barcola departs, and PSG are not desperate to sell the France international unless an excellent offer arrives. Barcola’s contract talks at PSG have stalled, and he is also attracting interest from Liverpool and Arsenal, among others. Liverpool are currently said to be leading the race for Diomande, offering more financially than PSG both in transfer fee and personal terms.

In short: a PSG move for Summerville likely depends on a chain reaction — Barcola leaving (possibly to Liverpool), which would free up both space and funds for Paris to pursue attacking targets like Diomande or Summerville.

Summerville’s Rising Stock

Summerville joined West Ham from Leeds United in August 2024 for a fee in excess of £25 million, signing a five-year deal with an option for a further year. In less than two seasons, his valuation has effectively doubled. He scored in the Netherlands’ 2-2 World Cup draw with Japan, a performance that has significantly boosted his profile despite West Ham’s relegation.

With his value climbing and contract running well beyond this summer, West Ham are in a strong position to demand a high fee — but the number of admirers suggests Portman Road’s Premier League rivals won’t be the only ones testing that resolve.
