He is survived by his wife, Ilee, and his children, John (Cailin), Paul, and Gretchen Schlecht (Michael). He also leaves behind his grandchildren—Mats, Kaia, Summer, Casey, Samuel, William, Nicholas, and Ella—as well as one sister and two brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Stanford, and his daughter-in-law, Julie.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at All Saints Lutheran Church, 15915 Excelsior Blvd, Minnetonka, Minnesota 55345. A memorial service will follow from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
